As November rolls around, we’re anxiously awaiting the approach of Thanksgiving, the holiday season and time spent with our loved ones.
The winding down of the year always brings about a time of self-reflection —remembering everything we’ve accomplished in months past, considering the good fortune we’ve enjoyed and/or the tough roads we’ve navigated. Hopefully, this reflection is always accompanied by a thankful spirit—thankful for the journey and the lessons we learn.
This past year has been an incredible journey for me, personally, as we will be celebrating the one-year anniversary of Cross Timbers Lifestyle this month! I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve in this community, and to meet and support wonderful local business owners, marketing partners, philanthropic gurus, community leaders and our amazing families and readers. This community is special, and I treasure the friendships that have been formed or deepened this past year. I’ve been touched by each of you and have welcomed the challenge and opportunity to educate, inspire and connect Southern Denton County readers in a new and unique way.
Thank you to my fabulous contributors and mentors along the way. And thank you, dear readers, for welcoming Cross Timbers Lifestyleinto your homes each month. As always, please don’t hesitate to drop me a line if you have a comment or suggestion.
As you press pause on the hustle and bustle of life this season, be thankful for your opportunities, the gifts you can share and your family and friends.
We hope that as you read this issue, you—like us—find inspiration in the lives and experiences of your neighbors and the connections that have been made.
Happy Thanksgiving, Cross Timbers Lifestyle!
