OK, gentlemen. You’ve waited patiently for your turn. Last month, we brought you our Ladies issue—it is ladies first, after all—and this month, we present our “Gents” issue, celebrating all things masculine.

Of course, there’s Father’s Day on June 16—we hope you enjoy your weekend with a great round of golf, an amazing camping trip or whatever tickles your fancy.

This month at Cross Timbers Lifestyle, we’re excited to shine a light on five men of influence who are impacting our community daily. These gentlemen are diverse, witty and intelligent—and they were fun to hang out with for the afternoon at local gem State Draft House & Craft Kitchen.

We’ll also delve into why it’s healthy to have a hobby, so pick that basketball back up or commit to tracking down your family crest. Not every hour should be spent driving to kids’ sports activities or working.

Parker Square’s Back-N-Time Barber Shop offers a nod to nostalgia while delivering current haircuts. We love this family-owned shop and how they are providing a father/son experience that can’t be beat. An older father/son duo might plan to make their next stop Witherspoon Distillery in Lewisville, where we are treated to their take on a new Old-Fashioned.

Meanwhile, Honey Dudes show up weekly and get things done for elderly, widows and military spouses around town. This Trietsch “Memorial” United Methodist service opportunity will warm your heart.

We hope you enjoy the offerings of June and give the men in your life their due!
