Are you hungry, Cross Timbers Lifestyle readers? We’re sure you will be when you read—or should we say devour—this issue, the most drool-worthy one of the year: the Foodie issue!

While we don’t like to play favorites, the Foodie issue is near and dear to our hearts. After all, food is not only nourishing (and delicious) but it also brings people together—whether it’s a special anniversary dinner, a casual weeknight meal with family or a festive outing with friends or coworkers. We had great fun highlighting Flower Mound resident Kalee Wulfer’s Grapevine Food Tour, where the food was amazing, the tour operator was interesting and informative and the pace was perfect. All in all, a most delightful and unique way to spend an afternoon with friends or coworkers if you have a hip boss. We are already planning our next tour!

In Open House, we look inside local interior designer Kristy Mastrandonas’ own kitchen redesign. Color us impressed with her tips to create an efficient and timeless kitchen that serves as the perfect backdrop to every season and occasion.

It wouldn’t be fall without a perfectly spiced pumpkin bread recipe that you will enjoy trying. And, might we offer some suggestions for a twist on a classic when we reveal ways you can “up” your s’mores game just in time to get that fire pit or fireplace cranked up? Speaking of fireplaces—how about a good book to curl up with? As we approach Halloween, we’re feeling a little mysterious, so be sure to check out Page Turners for classics and new options you will enjoy.

Friends, let’s “dig in” for fall and phenomenal food! Can’t wait for the crisp evenings and outings—so many places to explore. Hope to see you around town!
