Inaugural Rhythms at the River Walk Event was Just Ducky!

Cross Timbers Rotary and a cadre of exceptional community business sponsors brought to life the inaugural Rhythms at the River Walk event on Sept. 15. A 5K, a family-friendly walk, artists and vendors, food trucks and a children's area delighted festival attendees, but the highlight was the Duck Derby featuring 15,000 ducks! More than $137,000 was raised to support Denton County charities.

LEF Awards More than $92,000 to LISD Teachers

Lewisville ISD Education Foundation (LEF) awarded 64 grants totaling $92,780 to teachers across LISD to kick off the 2018-2019 school year. Grants covered the full scope of subjects: STEM-related learning, music, physics, robotics, theater, and more. The LEF Grant Patrol delivered the grants which ranged from $200 to as much as $2,500 with 10 teachers receiving the highest amount allotted.  … Continued
